At the Institute of Photography we teach real world photography
At the Institute of Photography we are dedicated to making photography easier. Our notes only cover Digital Photography. We do not burden you with unnecessary information about topics you do not need to know about. With this in mind, we have made a deliberate decision to exclude any discussion about the characteristics of film, developing film or film cameras. Knowledge in this area is not needed to be a good Digital Photographer.
Also, too many teachers in this field forget how difficult the jargon is for the average user of digital cameras and software. We make learning easy for you. We do this by breaking everything down into bite size chunks and then repeating the key concepts so that you can take it all in, little piece by little piece.
All of our notes are specially written in plain English and are illustrated with full colour photographs and illustrations to show you exactly what you need to learn. They have all been fine-tuned in a classroom setting, so each of the tips in our notes work in the real world.
These notes build up in to a book of more than 100 pages of clear, concise tips which you will find easy to follow and build on to make all your photographs look better.
The Institute of Photography, helping you take great pictures!
One of our main tutors, Dave McKane, has taken his love of photography to another level. He regularly posts his thoughts on all things Digital on his Digital Photography Blog. He also has a special Fiickr Photo web site where he stores photos taken with the Digital Photography Techniques he teaches on our various Digital Photography Courses. Click here to see Dave McKane's Flickr Photo Site or here to see his Facebook Page.
