IMPROVERS DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - Level 2
(formerly the Advanced Photography Course)
Aimed at those wishing to delve deeper into the heart of the camera and Photoshop/Elements to push their photographer up to a higher level.

This Improvers Level 2 Digital Photography Course is aimed at those who have been taking photographs with a digital SLR for at least 18 months and now want to get deep under the bonnet of the Camera and of either Elements or Photoshop Image Editing Programmes. To get the most out of this course you must have a digital SLR and either Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

The course is made up of 8 separate sessions with 2 different parts per session. The first part is aimed at the photography side of things, such as what are the best buttons to get or correct a specific effect while also teaching you the fundamental techniques of photography.

The second part focuses on the computer side. We show you how to really use Photoshop/Elements to squeeze a valuable extra 10% quality out of all of your shots

The course takes place over 8 weeks (dates etc here), 1 night per week for 1 and a half hours each night. At the end of the course you will be able to take full control of your camera and seriously enhance your shots in Photoshop/Elements.

Photography Field Trip
Week 6 is devoted to a HDR photography field trip to a landscape location in the greater Dublin area. Each student will be advised on how to use their own camera properly and how to take better shots.

Full Colour, Illustrated Handouts
Carefully worded and appropriately illustrated handouts are an integral part of our courses. We have designed these ourselves because we that the right learning material simply wasn't available. Because lectures tend to have an effect which lasts only a short while, particularly if no notes are taken, we believe our handouts are the key to making your newly gained knowledge much more long-lasting. Between photography and computer notes you will build up over 120 pages of full colour, detailed notes during the 8 weeks of the course.
