A DUSK PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP AND FIELD TRIP WITH DAVE McKANE
Limited spaces - click here to book now
Dave has been shooting night and dusk photography for the last 20 years. Like many people, He started out shooting cityscapes at night time, then he discovered the magic of the 'Blue Moment', that time after sunset when cameras record a special kind of blue in the sky.
Through Dave’s examples of his own dusk photography from around Europe, you will learn how to research and identify special locations that are likely to result in great dusk shots. You will also learn the professional photographer’s tips and techniques on how to set the camera up to ensure you get pin sharp shots every time.
In this special masterclass you will also learn about how to use 'light trails' (the light from car headlights and tail lights) to add an extra special feel to any dusk or night shot.
No great dusk shot is complete without a little bit of post-processing in the computer afterwards. In the second half of the masterclass you will learn key techniques when manipulating Raw files, including judicious use of white balance and use of the recovery slider. You will also learn important tips for further processing in Photoshop/Elements.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available for you on arrival at the Institute, along with the usual friendly welcome!
